A Google search for (month) Windows 7 Rollup will give you a direct link. NOTES: The first link is for IE 11 standalone installer. The second link is for .NET 4.61 standalone installer. The third link is for the updated Windows Update client. The 4th link is for the required servicing stack update, before installing this update and the rest of the updates (which are cumulative update rollup packages), you need to stop the Windows update service each time. To do this, go to All Programs, Accessories, and RIGHT click on Command Prompt. Select Run as administrator. Then type net stop wuauserv. The servicing stack update and the rollups are .msu files - when you download them, SAVE them, do not run them. Download everything and save them before running them as described. After you do all this, it shouldn't take too long to get the rest of the updates - there are probably about 50 of them to get instead of 200+. You will have to check for updates several times before you have them all. The rollups are through October 2016. When you first install Windows 7, answer "let me decide later" when it asks about Windows Update settings. After you get the standalone downloads installed, then go in and set it as desired. I use notify but let me decide whether to download and install. NOTE: If your Windows 7 media doesn't include SP1, you need to download and install that FIRST.
