a david smash improve...
Yeah....I still love the Surf Punks. It's definitely an acquired taste. Rubbed off on me at the maritime academy.
As usual, Pandora. Been on "Smooth Jazz" for the last two days, going on three. Next is Andrea Bocelli Radio I'd guess but might feel like Whitney Houston.
How many people have forgotten or don't know Marty Robbins? What an exceptional voice and story teller.
One of my favorite Bands:
Mimi on the Beach - Jane Sidberry from album No Border's Here
this belongs in the An Oldie thread...
Is what I was listening to at the time. Then so do the rest of us here, in person, lol. Bob provides the beverages...
My wife likes Bocelli radio on Pandora. I enjoy it for a while and then it gets to the point where I am just tolerating it in order to make her happy. She is a good sport about it and lets me give the thumbs down to songs that I absolutely can't stand. I think she secretly goes back and unselects some of the songs I gave the thumbs down to.
Still on Pandora Smooth Jazz. Almost changed this AM to either Whitney Houston or Celine Dione. Imagine I'll change later today or tomorrow. Depends.
Do you like classic rock Bob? That's what I listen to now mostly. It took hundreds of thumbs up and thumbs down over at least a hundred trips over the Sierra Nevada's to get things just right. Prince is one of the first artists that bit the dust.
I also have a jazz station I have tweaked to my bad tastes ...the Yellowjackets, Pat Metheney, Spyro Gyra, Weather Report, Manhattan Transfer etc. I have listened to Birdland over a hundred times now and still enjoy it.
Some, but I'm like you and Andrea Bocelli. It's different when I want to seriously listen. Believe it or not I like classical, especially piano and any of the upbeat composers, the Russians like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov and a couple of others, and some of the Italians, but like you, they're like Bocelli radio. Can't listen too long as background, just for serious listening. Car for me is usually talk radio or a flash drive with a bunch of my favorites, which are quite eclectic. They include some classic rock.
After a while when driving, I get bored with music and want something to stimulate the mind. That's when I turn on a podcast.
This is odd, RJ's and Boss's posts have no text.
