ps. respect to Australians who brought us this. They recently won a worldwide AI/robot

And the good news is that your personal info is all for sale...even to the black hats.

Parangles, thanks for the info. Using my PC and Chrome browser, I just logged into my Google account and then entered the URL.. history.google.com/history into the browser.

I was able to see all my google searches and activity. Then using "Delete Activity by" I was able to delete all that history. Now the big question.. Is it truly permanently deleted?

Google has no incentive to delete information about people from their databases. That information can be sold to others. Google is in business to make money, unethical or not.

I never use Google but for other reasons. My home page is Yahoo and just use it to search. However there must be tons of people using Google because in conversations with everyday folks all I ever hear is "Google it".

I think it's wise to just assume it's never really deleted and Google has the ability to restore deleted info if called upon to do so by law enforcement or other government agencies.

In regards to deleted info being sold on the open market, the answer is probably in Google's privacy agreement that we all have probably clicked on but never read.

We just have to face facts. In this modern world, privacy on what you do or say online is gone, so just be careful. :)

Yahoo is probably doing exactly the same as Google with all your search and browsing history.

I fully expect Yahoo doing exactly that.

Good question Pete ! Probably just made it non visible to the user.
Why throw away saleable info ?
But as my kid keeps reminding me- Pop, things are the way they are.
