My partner has a Samsung Galaxy S5. When the phone is in "Lock Screen", it shows an Ikon which looks like a shoe, and says "paused" next to it.
When the screen is unlocked the shoe like ikon is not there. can anyone advise on what it is, and how to get rid of it?
    Thank you.

I have an S5 and I do not see a shoe icon. Just words that say "Swipe to unlock". The main screen after unlocking has no shoe icon either.

My first guess is that you downloaded an app that uses that icon for some reason. Or highly unlikely, you have some sort of malware. If you cannot find a solution then you could do a factory reset.

    Blaster posted the solution.
    It's Samsung's built in S Health app.
The shoe is the pedometer icon and it is set to pause when the screen is locked.

It was the S Health. I have solved the problem.
    Many thanks for the help.

I hope your issue will be simply fixed by hard reset:
Press and hold Volume up, Home and Power buttons until the Samsung logo appears on the screen. If your Samsung Galaxy S5 becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to the factory default state. If this method get fail to remove icon from lock screen then take help from Samsung Galaxy S5 Manual.
