    Hey guys,
So the HD in my wifes Acer Travelmate B113-M-6889 is failing so I want to replace it. Problem I am having is finding a suitable replacement. Whenever I try and search the model number it doesnt give me info on suitable replacements. Its been a long time since Ive played around with the tech stuff so Im pretty rusty, Im guessing its a simple as searching for a decent SSD but figured I would ask just to confirm. Thanks for the help.

I appreciate the help. glc, good to see your still around these parts. Think the last time I heard from you was right before I left for navy boot.

the specs im seeing tell me SATA 300. so with the 250 is there any chance of an upgrade. i had my eyes on this 1TB seagate

Is that a comparable replacement? or is that too much storage for the laptop to appreciate?

That's not going to fit in a laptop, it's a 3.5" desktop drive.

You need a 2.5" HDD or a SSD. I'd recommend a Samsung 850 Evo SSD. It's available in capacities from 120gb to 2TB.
