My Windows 10 came up with no desktop after all this time, just a few tiles including one that showed the temperature in Washington, D.C. which I couldn't care less about. I couldn't click in any blank space and get an option to restore desktop icons. At least it offers a Start menu so I could find Firefox to post this. I had Classic Shell doing just fine til now. This really sucks as I don't know what caused it and I really am so tired of Windows since '95. Mac people still laugh at us...I don't know if I have some malware or Windows 10 just decided to upgrade to another version and screwed me.....Is really going to be a royal pain if I have to reinstall Windows 10 all over again on this M2 drive when I prefer Windows 7 I have unopened.

I still don't have a really good reason to change to 10.

Sounds like that for whatever reason, you have ended up in tablet mode. On the far right of the taskbar you have the notifications icon (square icon), click on that and look for the tablet mode icon, if tablet mode is on it will be highlighted in blue. Click on it to turn off . Should be good to go.
