Are you using the latest 7.0.3.1 and running it as per instructions?

I ran 7.0.3.0 as administrator and still stopped while cleaning. I have Win 7. I ran 7.0.3.1 before.

set adwcleaner to 'debug' in tools > options... then run it, when it's finished or crashed, there will be a 'debug log' which should point out the issue

When it stops a popup comes up which says "caught unhandled unknown exception, terminating".
What else can I use to scan my PC? Malwarebytes doesn't work (says "can't connect to service").

    ToolsLib

retrieve the debug log and post it here or in the support section of toolslib...

edit: side note: there is a 'fake' adwcleaner and it is a malware... you might benefit from visiting broni in the malware removal thread... read the sticky rules before posting there...

I suggest new topic in malware removal forum so I can take a look what's going on.
