Hi All: I was trying to send a note to the NYT, copied and pasted the address but it showed up with an extra period after the .com. Would not send like that and everything I did to erase that extra period didn't work including a reboot. Mail kept insisting on the bad address. Is there a way to delete such a thing?
    Thanks, Duke Masters

What mail software are you using? Have you tried your webmail?

Using what comes with my MacBook Air: Mail 10.2 When I tried to delete the extra period a blue bar would come up and not let me change it.

Then use webmail to send it.

Just wanted to know how to clear 'address memory or auto fill" or what ever it's called on the Mac.

Thanks Blaster, that was easy. Duke
PS: I searched the help on my Mac, guess I did not ask the right question or in the right way to find it.

I went to Mail help and asked, if I remember, "delete email address" or "delete (or stop) auto fill". On the Mac use Safari 99% of the time. Mac is kinda secondary machine, don't use it that much.

never liked the built-in help center, i think it's better to search the internet, read several links and the comments, to find a common good 'fix' that works.
