During casual use of my PC sometimes I can go 2 days before it locks up or freezes. My mouse will just stop moving or if I am listening to something you will hear that sound just repeat over and over. I cannot do anything, everything just comes to a halt!

I have to reboot the PC by holding in the POWER button and hopefully get lucky that it does not lock up again.

It seems to be the same pattern over and over, works for 1 or days then locks up, and when it locks/freezes up and happens maybe 3-6 times before I can get it started again to work for 1 or 2 days straight without interruption.

If someone can help I would really appreciate it.

OK we'll start with basic house cleaning.
Run disk clean up and empty all caches.
    Run all malware programs.
    Run defrag.

Until we know you've done this we can't advise about anything else.
