    Hi everyone,

My neighbour is an old chap and has asked if i can help with his computer, but it out of my depth.

He has a P166 running win98SE and used it with no probs for some time now. But when he now tries to connect to the internet using Internet Explorer his computer freezes and he gets one of two Kernell32 errors:-

    Kernell32 at 7921:44244914
    Kernell32 at 6121:52436845

I have been reading through the Kernell32 errors after doing a search, but am still none the wiser. I am going on holiday on Sunday, can anybody suggest a 'quick fix' or point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance.

These are very strange looking address entries. Are you sure they are correct?
Also, is it Kernel32 or KernelL32

And, what program is getting these errors?

sorry, my fault. It is Kernel32. The numbers are correct as he copied them down.

It happens when he launches Internet Explorer.

    Thanks

Well, they still look like real strange addresses.

But, an AV run is a good idea, either from DOS or an online one

And, check for Spyware using SpyBot
