Question Mouse jumps all over at random on my laptop

Hey. . . y'all, I'm using an acer laptop and the mouse pad . . . i'm working away and the cursor just decides to jump to another place on the screen! I searched the forum for hints or ideas . . . but to no avail!! Any ideas.

Cheers Johnny

What are you working on when the mouse jumps?
What is the history behind the problem? Has it always done this?

In control Panel->Mouse is a setting to hide while typing that can cause problems.

You can slow the mouse in Pane=>Mouse, maybe that would solve your problem.
